Loading device with a window for proton / neutron irradiation

Cormet has provided a recirculation loop and a pressure vessel for University of Birmingham. The instrument operates with supercritical water at maximum 650°C temperature and 30 MPa pressure.

The testing cell has a metallic window that can be positioned close to the loading device specimen. The instrument will be connected with a proton / neutron beam. University's scientists can study the irradiation assisted stress corrosion cracking in SCW environment.
