Four-Point Bending (FPB) Frames

The four-point bending frame (FPB) operation is introduced in NACE TM0177 Method B, NACE TM0316 and ASTM G39. FPB is a simple and affordable constant displacement method to evaluate the resistance of metal to sulfide stress cracking and stress corrosion cracking. The compact nature of the specimen holder allows the exposure of several specimens simultaneously in a testing cell.
