Four-point Bending Frames

The four point bending frame (FPB) operation is introduced in NACE TM0177 Method B, NACE TM0316 and ASTM G39. FPB is a simple and affordable constant displacement method to evaluate resistance of metal to SSC and SCC. The compact nature of the specimen holder allows the exposure of several specimens simultaneously in a testing cell.
